When a senior becomes dependent on others or needs additional medical care, the family becomes involved in making difficult choices.
Basic Adult Family Home provides personalized 24 hour care in a family environment. We provide a high staff to resident ratio which allows us to provide exceptional care and activities for each of our residents. The RN Provider lives on site. Our daytime/evening resident to staff ratio is never less than 3:1, and at night 6:1, plus RN Provider on site. Our night staff is awake and working. In addition we have an activities director three days per week who does nothing but outings and activities.
Sample Adult Family Home is located at 14475 NE 24th St., Bellevue, WA and services residents and families from the local area; Bellevue, Mercer Is., Newcastle, Kirkland, Redmond or other cities on Seattle’s east side.
Our residents come to us from their own homes, retirement communities, assisted living, rehab facilities, and nursing homes. Although we are experienced with most medical conditions, we specialize in insulin dependent diabetes. You must be insulin dependent for admission.
We have six private rooms, three with their own baths. We also have a large roll-in bath. Our gardens are wheel chair accessible, with raised flower and vegetable beds for residents.
Meeting the medical and physical needs of our clients is our priority, however Basic Adult Family Home is about family living! We plan many events for our residents, inside and outside the home. These outings may be as simple as a trip to the local Starbucks or a movie. Some are far more extensive, such as ten day cruises. The residents are actively involved in the frequency, selection and planning of these events. In May we all took a hot air balloon ride over the Skagit Valley.
Families are always welcome to visit or participate in our outings. We view them as part of our adult family home.

Basic Adult Family Home - This is not a real AFH! is licensed by Washington's DSHS as an Adult Family Home (AFH) for 6 beds and for Dementia and Mental Health, specialties. Dotti Snow, RN - the provider; is licensed in Wasington State as a Registered Nurse.
We have 6 private rooms.
Basic Adult Family Home! provides a safe and homey atmosphere for seniors with skilled caregivers and professional oversight. We provide an extensive activities program that takes into consideration the residents needs, interests and capabilities.
Basic Adult Family Home and its staff are experienced with: Hospice / end-of-life, Two Person Assists / Hoyer Lifts, and managing residents who are Wanderers, Exit Seekers, or are Resistive to Care.
We have 24/7 awake night shift. We have a primary care physician available (House Doctor) who will make house calls and accepts Medicare. We have injection capability and will consider residents on sliding scale insulin.
We accepted private pay and Medicaid with some conditions.
Basic Adult Family Home is located in Bellevue. Our residents typically come from the surrounding committees; Mercer Island, Kirkland, Redmond, Seattle, Issaquah, Newcastle, Sammamish, Renton. They come to us from; their own homes, retirement communities, assisted living, rehab facilities, nursing homes and other similar senior/elder care facilities.
