When a senior becomes dependent on others or needs additional medical care, the family becomes involved in making difficult choices.

Basic Adult Family Home provides personalized 24 hour care in a family environment.  We provide a high staff to resident ratio which allows us to provide exceptional care and activities for each of our residents.  The RN Provider lives on site.  Our daytime/evening resident to staff ratio is never less than 3:1, and at night 6:1, plus RN Provider on site.  Our night staff is awake and working.  In addition we have an activities director three days per week who does nothing but outings and activities.

Although we are experienced with most medical conditions, we specialize in insulin dependent diabetes.  You must be insulin dependent for admission.

We have six private rooms, three with their own baths. We also have a large roll-in bath.  Our gardens are wheel chair accessible, with raised flower and vegetable beds for residents.

Meeting the medical and physical needs of our clients is our priority, however Basic Adult Family Home is about family living!  We plan many events for our residents, inside and outside the home. These outings may be as simple as a trip to the local Starbucks or a movie. Some are far more extensive, such as ten day cruises.  The residents are actively involved in the frequency, selection and planning of these events.  In May we all took a hot air balloon ride over the Skagit Valley.

Families are always welcome to visit or participate in our outings. We view them as part of our adult family home.
